Final fantasy 12 rare game walkthrough
Another highly polarizing aspect of the game is the use of the Gambit system which allows the player to setup specific actions for characters that are completed only under certain conditions. The Gambit system allows you to build specific tactics around moves and focuses a lot of the strategic aspect of the game into the preparation before a battle rather than actions taken during the battle.
It did not go over well with every player of the game but I found it to be both challenging and rewarding; especially once you start to master the basic concepts. This is also the first game in the series which removed the aspect of randomly encountering foes on the battlefield and being forced into a fight. Instead, monsters and enemies appear on the over world and you can now run right past them if you choose to.
This style has now been repeated in many of the newer Final Fantasy titles in the franchise Final Fantasy XIII and XV, for example and finally removes one of the more annoying and unavoidable aspects of previous games. This title is not without its flaws though; for example, there are balancing issues with a few of the characters. In the PlayStation 2 version of the game, Fran, Penelo and Balthier to a lesser extent are underpowered and it does not make sense to use them during a playthrough.
Many of these issues have been corrected in updated versions of the game making all characters useful in certain situations and for certain jobs. The game also suffers from problems with spell load times which can cause noticeable problems during faster-paced battle sequences.

Be aware, however, that this game has a lot of intrigue. As such, things that become common knowledge later in the game and would not be covered would very much be a spoiler early in the game. Read ahead at your own risk! Another thing to note is that GameFaqs guides don't display spoiler covers correctly on phones and tablets.
There's nothing I can do about it. Notification boxes will be used for boss strategies. Boss strategies will include screenshot, boss stats, recommended gambit and gear setups. You will need to do most of them at some point to get the platinum as most of these sections deal with Clan Centuri hunts.
You need to defeat every enemy in the game for the Scrivener trophy, which includes all the hunts - and not all can be found in Trial Mode. You also cannot finish the Collector trophy without at least doing some hunts as the required items are rewards from the hunts. I will provide links that allow you to skip optional sections if you just want to play the story, but you will miss a lot of good content if you skip Jovy's sidequest gives a particularly touching scene.
I expect that this guide will take some time to complete and, once published, will benefit from feedback. Feel free to send any recommendations my way; but before you do, make sure you know This guide will not be a plot summary. As much as possible, I will not reveal any story elements. You want to play the game for yourself, not read my experience, right? I will tell you how to get from point A to point B and what you might want to do to be prepared for point B.
I will not tell you the content of the dialogue or even the identities of new people you meet until after you've met them. I also won't be explaining the plot.
This game is full of intrigue, so enjoy it for yourself! This guide is not an item list or a treasure percentage or a map guide. That would be way too much time and would not fulfill the goal of this guide: provide an easy-to-follow walkthrough that will allow you to do everything you want without being encumbered by what you don't. Similarly, I do not as of right now plan on incorporating a detailed walkthrough of Trial Mode, although I may make some recommendations as to when it may be appropriate to do certain tasks in trial mode.
As such, I can almost guarantee that there are some game-breaking power-up guides that take advantage of Trial Mode that would make it redundant if I tried to incorporate all that information. Also, I will not be recommending strategies that require the abuse of the RNG, although I might point out treasures that you could get if you did.
You will not be required to use RNG tricks to use this guide - especially since some people feel like that is cheating. I personally don't care if it's in the game and you can do it, how is it cheating?
In other words, you should be able to play the game however you want and still use this guide. This guide will not be a collection of every single statistic in the game. If you want to know that much about the game, you probably know far more than I do and don't need the kind of walkthrough that I am trying to create.
I appreciate that kind of player, because they figure out all the tricks for someone like me to write a good guide - but you would be a source for not a consumer of a guide like this. Finally, this guide is not for sale. I'm making this for my own pleasure, using the guide editor on gamefaqs. If you see this guide on any other site, please notify me. If I have given permission, it would already have been updated here.
